Intermittently keeps restarting fuel and prime on initial "key on"
I assumed it is the Edelbrock pro flo 4 system? That is a great system and I would go to that system also. Pricey, but well worth it. These throttle body FI systems work great on some engine/configurations, but terrible on others. There is still lots of improvements needed. But I kind of blame it more to Chinese Made Junk and their lack of quality control. Not sure if the Edelbrock pro flo 4 is made in the USA. I have zero issues with my Fitech and every year it seems to get better and better with the auto tuning and my tweaks.
Yes it is the Edelbrock system and the sticker says USA but I'll bet there are more than a few chinese components in there somewhere lol.
I'm glad to hear your Fitech is working for you !! Fitech are a low cost EFI system and I agree the quality control may be suspect on the components. Perhaps it is possible the chances of getting flawed replacement parts is also higher and that is what happened to me etc.
The PF4 system was more money but then again the Fitech cost me a lot trying to make it work good and that is now wasted. Hindsight is always 20-20, but in retrospect all things considered, the PF4 wasn't that expensive of an upgrade really. It comes with a nice manifold and distributor so if you need those things for your build then it really gets closer to the Fitech systems. The port injection makes it a different animal. It does take a little more to install with the wiring harnesses, an external ECU that you need to mount, and you need to add a fuel regulator.
Also I found if you want to get right into the settings of the Fitech (and there are lots of them) that you really needed to do your homework figuring out exactly what they do etc. The PF4 settings are much more intuitive that way and the blue tooth ECU tablet interface is much better than the wired joystick controller.
Like I said that was my experience.
