Accelerator Pressure

Installed FiTech 30005 600hp system,no problems with install and made a big difference in the performance. Only problem is pushing the gas pedal requires a lot of pressure is their any easy fix?

I had the same problem with the 2 throttle body setup and I never got an answer from Fitech. I got so fed up this summer when engine refused to start hot. I had to have car flat bedded home. Next day started fine, but when hot refused to start again. I had the setup on for 2 years and never had hot start problems till this year. Getting back to the stiff throttle and the hot no start, I put the edelbrock carbs back on and it solved all my problems. Could never feather the throttle, almost like a brick holding it back. And of course with the Fitech help line I didn't want to spend a day on the phone on hold. Good luck with a solution from them. By the way mine is on a gen2 472 Hemi.

I always install a solid metal bushing in the big hole on the throttle linkage.  This helps a lot.  Also upgrading to a cable throttle makes throttle smoother.  Some guys have unwound the linkage spring one turn and got the desired feel.  I have not tried that.

Since I have a Mopar I use the edelbrock 1481 adapter to install the stock throttle stud on the throttle body. The car is stick so I don't have any transmission kickdown linkage to deal with.

Took your advice and installed bushing in upper linkage hole. Now it works like it should thanks for the tip
