Engine Size Increase

Now that I have new intake system installed to give me more airflow, what would happen if I just change the CID in the initial engine settings from 383, where the tuners had to set it at, to 454, which is what the real CID is?  Would this erase all the info the tuners put into my fitech for $930?

Did they install and tune for that price?

Nope,  just "tuned".

If what you are telling me is correct, then I would never go back to that shop again.

I know, tell me about it.  I was so upset with them.

They basically called me a liar for saying I had a 454 CID small block.  They said I didn't have that.  Also, they charged me $150 to supposedly rewire the car for the Fitech, that they said was wired wrong.  They said the fitech has to be connected directly to the battery, which it was with a battery cable to the starter, and that point with the battery cable to the battery.  When I got the car back, I saw a wire they put in connected to the battery, and when I traced it out, it was cut, and the fitech was still connected to the way I had it.  They called me the day before that to fix my wiring, because they could no longer start the car.  So, I brought my wiring box with ohm/volt meter, and within an hour I got everything to check out.  They had somehow destroyed my ignition wire in the engine compartment, that I used to flip my relay, so I had to put a new wire in, and also they broke my fuel pump connector somehow.  So, I was leaving the place and told them good luck, and one guy said "aren't you going to start it?" So he followed me to the car and I turned the key and it fired right up.  I couldn't even keep the car idling on the way home without it stalling out.  I called them up when I finally got it home, and they said the TPS on the fitech must have gone completely out.  Turns out they were right about that, but didn't anticipate the problem and replace it themselves.  Just a terrible experience.  This is the place http://estuned.com/index.htm

Fortunately, I found another place in town to go to.

Who built your motor?  Send pics.

I built it, Zimmerman Racing balanced and assembled bottom end to 1/2 gram.

Wow, quite an engine.  If the cid is 454, then enter 454.  I would like to see a datalog once you get it running.  Can't upload here yet, but can send to Fitech Owners Group on Facebook, if you are a member.  You can tag me, same username.

Just today I put in 454 in the engine initial settings and fired it up.  It idled nicely still.  I have it set at 1100 rpm.  I've got the AFR set at 16 at idle with that cam I have in there, and plugs look real good.  I'm going to take it for a little ride tomorrow!

I think I may be blocked on Fitech owner's group on Facebook.  I was just trying to get answered a simple question after I installed the Fitech on the wife's car about a year ago.  Nobody would answer me, and finally blocked me, because I was being "rude".  I did finally get her Fitech running through trial and error.  I'll check again to see if I'm allowed.  How do I get a "datalog"?
