Fitech goes rich when throttle closed-tps=0, vacuum up, decellerating

Page 1 of 3Next

Setup:

1956 Desoto Hemi 330 inch motor.  tko 600 5 speed, 3.55 eight inch ford rear end, 3670 pounds

30014 GoPort Fitech port injection, with, I think, 19 pound injectors @43 PSI pressure.

Original late SBM locked electronic 2 wire distributor with timing control.

Normal idle vacuum high 19 to low 20 inches

Starts fast and runs pretty good.  However, when I come off the gas to coast as in down hill on the highway the afr goes pretty rich.  Like in the 12's or lower.  This is with tps and 0, vacuum at 22 or so.  If I just barely touch the gas the afr jumps to 15 to 16.  Let off the gas the afr again goes rich.  I have tried to work with the decel fuel cutoff but never understood this or had any success.  It does the same thing running at lower speeds.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Billk

can you post the csv?  Then I can plot out the data easier to take a look see.

I've been searching google and this website but can't find info on what a cvs is.  Help me out here.  Thanks,  Billk

Oh, I'm sorry, the file that is in you log directory on your handheld.  I assume that's what you used to generate the pdf file you posted.  I just need the original file, which is already in csv format i.e. DashBoard15.csv.

OK,  Lets try this.

For some reason it doesn't like the csv format.   It only wants Allowed file types: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, pdf

I'm really inept at this kind of thing.  I'm sure there is a way to do it.  Billk

What we've done in the past is post it in dropbox, share it as public, and post the link to it here.  It's free.

This may be a link  https://www.dropbox.com/s/zmrwt1gok09o7v1/sept27-002.csv?dl=0

Thanks.  Billk

Cool, I'll take a look at that when I get home from work.

What cam setting are you using?  Your AFR learn is pinging on the high side, indicating it can't give it enough fuel.  I would increase cam setting by 1 and take another log file.  So what's your fuel pressure at the fitech fuel inlet?  I would look at that pressure gauge when you are in neutral and pull the throttle lever to see if it maintains pressure.  If this checks out then change cam setting.

I'll give it a try and let you know.  Do you think I might need larger injectors?  I think I have 19 pound injectors now.  Running 43 pounds of fuel pressure.  I am on cam setting number 1.  My cam is a 212/212 roller cam with about .450 or so lift.
