GO Street 400 install, Handheld not working
Quote from Peterpimmperle on February 4, 2020, 6:36 pmHello,
today I installed a Fitech Go Street 400 which I bought in used condition.
The seller told me it works fine until he decides to go with the original carb.
After install I purged the fuel system with putting 12V at the fuel pump to check no leaks. Everything is fine.
So I put ignition on, but nothing happen. the handheld is not working. I only can hear the IAC is for reference.
By installation I noticed my red wire is as small as the other small wires. Only the yellow and orange wire for fuel pump and cooling fan are bigger. But in the wiring diagram everytime they tell about a large red wire which hast to got direct to the batterie.
If I connect the handheld to the laptop it is working, so I think handheld is okay. I tried to messure the voltage suplied to the handheld from the ECU, but do not know which contact at the connector. Has someone any idea how to messure the supplied Voltage to the handheld? Connectors looks good, it is not easy to see something bad, because they are so small.
I also did a direct ground to the TBI, but has nothing changed.
Is there anything else to check?
Thank you
regards Pascal

At your own risk, try numbering the the two wire plug on cable. The one with red and black wire. Red positive and black ground. If handheld comes on, it is a blown fuse in the ecu. Not serviceable. But, you can get another plug and run your handheld power from the battery. Works just fine this way.
Not sure about your fuel pump. There is an inline fuse on the Orange wire.
As for the yellow and red. They both have inline fuses then join together into a larger red wire on the factory harness. This may have been modified. No problem. Just run both those wires directly to the battery.
