IAC Delete
I have a 30003 400HP unit. I noticed Fitech offers a block off plate. PN 60039. Id like to install one on my unit. I'm tired of IAC motors failing about every 8 months to a year. Is there a procedure in the hand held for this? Or can I just remove it, install the block off plate and set idle with the screw? I do realize it will throw a code, but as long as it runs fine i'm ok with that.
I searched high and low for info on this all over the web. Not really any responses at all. So I went ahead and ordered it anyway and I'll report back on how well it works out.
Email FiTech support for a answer to see if you can install it on your unit and what are the drawbacks; if any. I have the same unit as yours since 2017 and have had zero issues with mine unit. Not sure why you are having IAC motor failures.

It went well. It's been about 3 months now. It threw a code but still runs and idles well. I just set the idle for 750 with the AC on. So far no other issues.
I assume the block off plate is for a engine with a radical cam that has a rough idle that the IAC can't keep up with. But even with my mild cam it still works well for me.

I am very curious about this. I have not yet had an issue with it, but if it doesn't change functionality much, then what's the point of having the IAC motor. In the worst case, it may be worth having the block off plate in the spare box in case it breaks when on the road so it is an easy fix.
