Initial setup IAC menu different from videos
I am trying to set up my idle control/IAC steps. My menu differs from the instructions and the videos. I have an older handheld with no arrows, and when I go into the Initial Setup menu and go to Idle Control, I only have three options. I don't get a idle set mode option as shown in the newer handhelds, or anything mentioning a set screw. What I get as the last option is " Idle set mode" but it's set to "off" I tried hitting all the options buttons, but nothing will allow me to change it to "on". So I'm stuck, I can't change anything to do with the idle. I'm stuck at 263 IAC steps, and if I adjust the screw to lower the steps, by the time I'm to 140, my idle as about 1200.
Please help, I'm pulling the rest of my hair out trying to get this thing to idle...I can't do what the instructions say, ' cause I don't have the same handheld.

to help anyone else who runs into this problem, here's the trick. Unlike every other parameter on the handheld, which you press edit, then change the value, or enter one to affirm and 0 to deny, the idle setup is different. When you choose the option, you need to push the joystick to the right to change it from off to on. So select idle control, then push the joystick to the right, and you will see it change from off to on. When you key off, it will change back to off. Nothing like consistency....
You can upgrade to the newer style handheld. They are not that expensive and I like extras you get with them. the big plus is the usb c connection.
