New member, first start of LS2, and the dreaded LEARNING CURVE

First problem: “NO ECU RESPONSE”. Verified proper grounds, verified adequate voltage at all conditions and locations.

The solution that may help others, was the left plug going into the top of the handheld wasn’t fully inserted. It took significant force to  ‘seat’ the plug the last .030 thousandth. Afterwards is was able to load, and save my inputs as advertised.

Second problem: CRANKS, NO START. Tries to start with carb cleaner sprayed into intake. I’m using the recommended HyperFuel G Force fuel pump, fed by the stock in-tank pump flowing in constant loop.  The solution: In my haste for a first start, I forgot to include the fuel pressure regulator in the fuel circuit. Once installed with a PSI gauge included, pressure set to 55, I had a successful first start!

Third problem: LOST PASSENGER SIDE ENTIRE BANK. Engine continues to run, surprisingly smooth. Spark plugs on passenger side look normal, and consistent, not wet at all. Lost bank after cylinder head temps reached 235 with a handheld temp gun, on fifth short run-up. I don’t have my electric fan wired yet, and knowing that I was monitoring my temps for the short test runs. I now have two fault codes, each for “cooling fan relay”. This was discovered at quitting time last night. My question to the group; could these codes cause the “LIMP MODE” to activate? And how does “LIMP MODE” work? Could it deactivate my injectors on one bank?
I will clear the codes and try another start later today, after work. Thanks in advance for any advice!  MIKE HUGHES.

Cleared codes, started instantly, firing on all 8 for about a minute, then lost passenger side bank again. It sounded rich, so I lower the fuel pressure down to 20 PSI, and the passenger side bank came right back. So why is the passenger side running rich?
Driver side sounds sweet, exhaust temps consistent. I’m still getting familiar with the hand held controller. Any ideas?

Curious as to your fuel setup; are you going in one side, jumped to the other?  Where is the regulator location?  Do you have a return line to your tank?  Is it vented properly?  The fuel psi should be a set-it and forget-it at 58psi on the regulator.  The stock injectors on an LS2 are 32-34 lb/hr.  Have you checked that they all flow the same?
