Starting over , need help
Quote from dave5701 on July 25, 2019, 8:13 amOk, seems I have an issue with fuel pressure. I bought a fuel gauge and 6AN male/female fitting with a nipple tap for the gauge. I put this at the imput of the Fitech unit. Turned on key and also ran the engine, ~20psi in both instances. I am taking it, this should be around 60, yes? My next approaches will be to remove fuel filter, check it. If I can, I may try to bypass the Fitech and see if I can build pressure in just a fuel loop. Can this be done, of if there is enough flow, will it not build up enough pressure to know if pump can deliver. Is there a way to directly test the pressure without damage to the pump?

These are replacable and inexpensive. I have them list on the Parts and Accessories post. You would want the 4 bar regulator.

Quote from dave5701 on July 30, 2019, 9:24 amOk, more updates. Purchased a new 30Mic fuel filter. Still have ~20lb pressure. Pinched the line like it was mentioned, stayed at 20lb. Took out pressure regulator. Clean screens and will hold a vacuum. To me this points to the fuel pump. I bought the pump from Fitech when I bought the unit. Hmm. The one I bought was a 255lph in tank. I see Fitech has reduced their fuel pumps down to 2. One inline and one in tank. If no one says dont get this or there is a better cheaper option, I think I am going to get the 340lph intank one from fitech and see what happens. Any other ideas?

Quote from dave5701 on August 5, 2019, 1:11 pmMade great strides this weekend. I purchased a Walbro GSS340 intank. I am now running 50lb psi. It will hit 60 then drop to 50. I am about to start making adjustments, but I need to know something. In the initial engine setup, where it asks for cylinder count, Cu In, I have put in 383 , max RPM and such and will not store the 383, always reverts back to 355. Other things like the cam selection will stay but not the cu in. Is there some reason for this? If it is a white wire problem, why is everything not resetting?
