Tach wire question

i just installed the fitech kit onto my sbc 400. Has an hei distributor. I had an aftermarket tach but I have to have the blue wire where the tach wire is supposed to go. Any way for me to run both?

Yes, you can run them off the same terminal. Watch out for electrical interference though. Read the sticky in wiring requirements.

Thank you! I had both wires going to the terminal but I wasn’t getting a rpm signal. Once I clipped my tach wire it fired right up. I had just assumed that it didn’t like sharing a signal but the tach wire runs by a lot of wires. I’m having difficulty finding some shielding in town so it looks like I will be ordering some.
