Throttle limitation and power loss

Hey everyone,

I recently installed my fitech 30004 system on my ford maverick which has a SBF 302. It fired right up and has been running pretty well for the past 3 days besides a slight hanging idle but I was working those issues out. I was driving it home today and all a sudden it started to stumble. Whenever I was in gear and accelerating from a stop the car would start to stumble and experience a loss of power. I had to limp it home because anytime i would get around 2k rpm it was misfire city haha.

The interesting part is that if I was in 3rd gear and gave it some throttle the engine would almost die but if I back the throttle off slightly it would come back alive (kind of like a safety feature?). I pulled a log and have attached it below. I have highlighted a section of the log where the engine goes extremely lean and my AFR learn spiked and held at 50%. This section of the log is when I would gss it and it would cut the throttle and go lean. The O2 sensor is brand new and I just had custom exhaust fabricated so should be no exhaust leaks. I'm leaning toward a bad MAP or maybe something in my settings.

This is my first time troubleshooting an EFI system so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

What is your fuel pressure?

Don’t over think it.  99 percent something simple.

Your log is too long.  Try editing down to the problem area.  I couldn’t get to it without the drive reloading the file.

You do have a lot of negative learn and trim is still large.  What is you cam setting?  What cam are you running?  What is the engine?

I just ordered a fuel pressure sensor so will have that install in the next day or so.

i will edit the log to include only the problem area.

With regards to the motor it is a 302 moderate isky racing cam trickflow heads edelbrock dual plane 10:1 compression. I have the cam setting at 3 due to the amount of vaccum i am pulling 8-9 at idle. I started of with the cal setting at 2 and that seemed to work fine but though since my vaccum was lower i would put it in the 3rd level.

i have attached the log snippet section. I just noticed also that this post is probably in the wrong section since its tuning related.

No worries on the section.  I can always move it.

Cam specs would be helpful.
