Tuning after software update
Quote from john4337 on April 27, 2025, 1:40 pmI've recently updated my 30003 to the latest software version and I'm working on dialing it in. For reference, its a Ford 302 with an Edlebrock RPM intake and MSD ignition. Overall it feels better with the new version. I thought Id throw the log I took out for comments for improvement. Thanks.

Quote from SodaPop on May 8, 2025, 7:57 pmYou need to redo another log file. You should get the car warmed up to 170 degrees before recording a log file so to be in a closed loop mode. After 170 degrees the EFI system takes reading from the O2 sensor and does adjustments. Below 170 degrees you are in open loop mode which relies on predetermined fuel maps. The cam setting will determine what fuels maps to use. You can try different cam setting to see what happens and can change it on the fly while driving, but you need someone in the car with you to change the cam settings. Not a big fan of newer MSD Ignition made in China, quality/reliability went downhill to save costs.

Quote from john4337 on May 9, 2025, 10:57 amThanks for the reply, things went sideways a bit, the back injectors elected to stop working. I’ve shipped the unit to FiTech to have them take a look, should get there today. 🤞

Quote from john4337 on May 16, 2025, 8:35 amAs an update, my unit is on the way back from FiTech, they reported finding a software issue, my guess something went south during the update I did. Needless to say, I’m very happy with the FiTech team.
