ultimate ls 70050 ecu no response
Quote from slmdc10 on September 22, 2019, 8:08 pmHaving trouble with the ultimate LS, right from day one of the install I could not get any response from the ECU. went over grounds, power, relays, fuel pump, etc. and still the ecu would not power up the fuel pump or prime the injectors..So I spent weeks of trouble shooting with Fi-tech only to end up shipping it and the hand held back to them. They tested it and they said it fired up on their test motor, and they were sending it back to me along with a new harness in case that was the problem. I received the ecu, handheld and a new harness back plugged in the ecu, without changing anything and turned the key on and hear the fuel pump come on right away. It was running on only 4 cylinders so I had to reload one of the files to eventually get it run on all 8 and then it ran quite well. I was able to drive it around the yard, and in and out of the garage to work on it but it was starting/running great. I did have a problem with a dead cyl. but it turned out to be a lose injector connection. Then after I drove it in the garage to work on wiring the electric fans so I could finally take it for a drive, I shut it off and it hasn't ran since...now its back to it's original problem with the "ECU NO RESPONSE". looks like I'll be shipping it back again...fml.

no, I didn't have to.... it started up on my old one still in the car, but since the ecu died again I wired the "new" harness up with the positive leads and grounds directly to the battery, plugged in the ecu and handheld and still get the "ecu no response" with the new harness as well as the old one.

Quote from Flyandfix2020 on February 23, 2020, 7:27 amI had the same exact problem, and performed the same troubleshooting. Long story short, while staring at my handheld thinking the worst, I noticed the left plug going into the top of the handheld had a small gap of about .030 thousands. I pushed FIRMLY and the plug snapped in that last little bit. Instantly communicated with the ECU. Hope you get yours working too. Mike Hughes
