Where to start?
Quote from cessna386 on April 26, 2022, 9:39 amI purchased a beautiful TCI chassis 34 Ford coupe with a 350 SBC and a 400 street FiTech equipped engine. I put around 100 miles on the car with no issues and then one day it refused to start??? If I dribble fuel in the TB and crank it it will fire, I removed the fuel hose and it has fuel pressure to the TB. What could be the reason it is not getting the signal to start?

Fuel pump type? Mechanical with Fitech booster?, Inlne?, or in-tank?
Add a pressure gauge to the front of the throttle body. Should have 58PSI while cranking/running.
No tach signal weak signal?
Grounding? - these things are very sensitive to grounding. Fitech has no ground wire provision to battery so it basically grounds to the carb studs - then relies on a good ground from engine-to-body. Some people run a dedicated ground wire from the carb stud to-the-battery.

Git rid of that FiTech fuel pump!!!! Made in China Junk that will leave you stranded on the side of the road. Failed once and will fail again. Go with a quality Walbro Fuel pump which is made in the USA.
