1200 PA system drops spark at 3000rpm
Quote from xlr8steve on September 7, 2021, 12:06 pmI ran a 600 non power adder system for the last 3 years. Timing control setup with msd 6a box. Runs perfect.
swapped out a 1200 pa system i bought used. It runs up to around 3000-3200 then pow backfire violent loss of spark for a half second. logs all show perfect from fitech. the rpm log on the fitech never wavers on the way up to that rpm. doesnt matter how much throttle you apply. it will then take off again after that half second.
went back to the 600 with identical wiring. runs perfect again. didnt change a thing.
bought a new 1200pa system and installed again with zero wiring changes and it does the exact same thing as the used 1200.
am i missing a setting somewhere? i disabled and did not have 2 step input at all. rpm limiter is set to 7000. nitrous is disabled.
