1999 S-10 L96 6.0L install

I had a guy the other day asking about where the ecu could be placed. Where is yours?
Mine is located where the original ECU was, which is on the bracket that is bolted to the radiator overflow tank. So my ECU is not grounded to the body. The ECU has 2 ground wires that come from the unit 1 that grounds out the ignition and 1 that is the ground for the ECU low current, both of which I have grounded to the heads along with the negative battery cable.
I haven't had a chance to work with an Ultimate LS system yet. Am I understanding correctly that the ecu case must be grounded?
My case is not grounded unless one of the 2 ground wires that I spoke of are internally grounded to the case.
