AFR Learn maxing out negative
Quote from GT350 on May 2, 2019, 8:09 pmOk, I'll try it. Should I reset other things as well, perhaps a factory reset?
Because I've been tuning all this time on what is essentially a rich fuel table.

I selected cam profile 2. I’m getting about 11-12 hg vacuum @ idle. It’s a SBF 289 .060 over. Edelbrock RPM heads, cam and intake. It’s around 11:1 compression. No timing control. MSD 6A ignition. Using an in-tank walbro 255 pump. Got a solid 58psi @ the throttle body.
Was just trying to tune out a quick throttle hesitation when I stumbled on this forum. Now I’m starting to think I have bigger problems.
The software i used prior to finding this forum was 195, and there is much different to the 198 version.
I wonder why you have a solid 58PSI pressure, did you unmount the vacuum from the regulator?
My 30002 came without vaccum hose for the regulator, but they later changed opinion and now tell us to have it connected.
I have 58 PSI with open throttle, 50psi @idle (pulling 13 ish)

Quote from GT350 on May 3, 2019, 10:32 amWhen you change the software version, that wipes all the settings clean, right? I'm hesitant, I don't want to wind up with a brain dead ECU.
I believe I have the vacuum line connected. I know they were going back and forth on that for awhile. I do have the PWM for the pump set to 100. Could be why I get a constant 58psi on the fuel rail.

Quote from Deleted user on May 3, 2019, 12:17 pmWhen you update, yes everything is erased as far as tune is concerned. I do not recommend trying to input a 195 tune into 198 software. Don't know what problems could arise, wouldn't want to risk it. Write down your settings and input into a new tune after update.

I installed the T198i software. I can't believe how many more adjustments there are now!! Blows my mind!
Used cam setting #1 to drop fuel table levels. Also used actual engine displacement. Still getting -35% on AFR learn.
Here's 30 sec idle log

Does your coolant sensor match your gauge. Notice it is still below 170. Afterstart enrichment is still enabled.

Quote from GT350 on May 3, 2019, 10:16 pmHonestly the car never gets much hotter than that. Add to that the fact that it's only 40 out. My temp gauge is in the thermostat housing so I only use it for general reference, not sure how accurate that location is. My EFI temp sensor is in the intake manifold. Both are actually pretty close.
I will say with the update the throttle response feels much crisper.
How could you tell after start enrichment is enabled?

Quote from Deleted user on May 4, 2019, 6:47 amAfterstart enrichment stays enabled until 170 degrees is reached. Try a Delco sensor and see if any difference. I have 9ne listed in the Parts and Accessories topic.
