Base Timing & Rotor Phasing
Quote from 46Chev on September 15, 2020, 2:42 amHey All,
I'm on the last leg of installing the dual quad setup on my 46 Chev. I have a question in regards to timing and rotor phasing.
How exactly is the rotor phased based on base timing? I've come across a Facebook video on the Fitech page and it says to put the engine at TDC #1 -> drop in distributor -> mark rotor location for #1 -> rotate engine to 10 degrees BTDC and mark new rotor location -> rotate back to 0 degrees on timing tab -> adjust rotor to new mark for 10 degrees BTDC.
Based on the instructions in the Fitech manual, it says to do it a different way. Which way is correct?
