Baseline fuel map needed for initial engine break-in please
Quote from danno97 on July 24, 2018, 2:41 pmhello. I built a small block ford engine designed off a 351W platform. It is a Dart 427 small block with AFR 220 heads. the build should be around the 600hp range. I am installing a Fi-tech 800hp mean street system on it and now need to run-in (break-in) the engine. I am looking for a fuel map (tune) to break-in engine with. The rings need to be seated so I am concerned about washing down the cylinders with too much fuel while the Fi-tech system sorts out the tune thru regular process.
Can you please provide me with a tune, or suggestions around this critical 20 minute initial break-in period? This would be great support and much appreciated.
Thank you!
