BBF in a Cobra replica
Quote from danjet500 on July 12, 2019, 2:26 pmHello all. Just joined the group. Hope to get some help and ideas here. My build is a BBF, 513 CID in an FFR Cobra replica. Engine has older A429 aluminum heads, Torker 2 intake, Ford Motorsport C460 hydraulic flat tappet cam, compression is 9.7:1. 3.55 gears with a Tremec 5 speed transmission. Cam is 244/254 duration @ .050" and .588/.614 lift. Engine idles well and runs well but is very difficult to start. The easiest way to start it is to pour some fuel down the throats and then crank. Once it has been running it seems to start ok unless it has set overnight.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Then start working with crank settings. That menu is in the PRO Tuning section. May need to enable in the display menu.

The engine turns over very well so I don't think the starter or cables are the problem. It acts as though it is not getting any or enough fuel to start.
Thanks.
