We have also debated installing the Power Adder programming to a Natural Aspirated unit. IDK!!!!

Quote from CheezeWhizX on May 14, 2018, 2:55 amBeen thinking about this for sometime now. I have a feeling that majority of these units programing are the same. Fitech will deny this because they want to differentiate their products. Had a unit apart been curious ever since, i wonder if you could upgrade from a 600hp unit to 1200 by simplying swaping the injectors and retune/learn. There is even extra opening for injectors inside the unit, one could probably add injectors and have 8 like the mean street unit.

Quote from Deleted user on May 14, 2018, 3:58 amThe 1200 unit has 8 injectors. I believe the bores of the 1200 units have more discharge holes though.
As for software, the big difference will be the boost reference for timing. Of course there are other ways to accomplish that.

Quote from Sdflanagan07 on March 2, 2020, 6:42 amI have a 600hp no power added kit and most of the parts for a turbo kit in my shopping cart just waiting to click buy.
Has there been any update on this or anyone who has tried. I am waiting to hear back from FITECH too. I was emailed the power adder software from someone on the Facebook ground and saved it on a different SD card than what is in my truck now. My mechanic and I are planning to try and get the truck running on that SD car then trying to figure out a way to test the software if it will see boost before dropping the $ on turbo. Going to download current file to current SD card too just incase.
If it matters, we are only planning on running 4-7lbs of boost. Anything more than that and I will need to upgrade whole FI system
Any insight is helpful.

It wouldn't surprise me if it worked. As far as I know the ecm is the same, just different harness. The extra leads in the PA harness are not necessary for a boosted application.

Quote from Sdflanagan07 on March 10, 2020, 11:20 amFitech did finally message me back and said "the software is not the main issue the map sensor is part of the ECU unfortunately. The software we normally can email but you do not want to flash the ecu with different software as it will cause it to lock up. The power adder units are the only ones with that specific map, all the others use the same"
