@bdhulderman that thing sounds great. I recently just changed my Fitech from the GoEFI to the new UltraRam on my 454 stroker small block but my cam isn't as big as yours. I'm still playing with it to get it all tuned right. I am running a Comp Cam 12-772-8 cam with 616/624 lift and 248/254 duration. I am currently running cam#2 but after reading your post maybe i should be running cam#3. What do you think? Also what size heads are you running on that bad boy?

Thanks Matt

That does sound pretty good, pretty wild cam! I gave up on getting vacuum for my brakes and bought a vacuum pump. Hoping to get it close on AFR and start running it down the road to let it learn.

Yeah, you might try 3 and see what that does for you.  I'm running AFR 235 cc heads.

Yeah with the tall valve covers on my '66 vette with new tdd shaft rocker system, I had to go to Hydraboost braking, since I didn't have room anymore for the vacuum booster, plus there wasn't enough vacuum for that anyway without a vacuum pump that leak below 18 in Hg.  Brakes are fantastic now.

Ya that sounds badass. I'm running AFR 220cc heads on mine as the 235cc weren't out when i did my motor 10 years ago. I feel like my motor is more responsive and faster with the new UltraRam setup than the GoEFI i had before. But now my distributor mag pickup went out and now its throwing a code P0351 coil fault code so I am going to order a coil, can't catch a break with this dam thing, Lol.

So that UltraRam is only rated at 600 Hp?  I wonder if you can put in larger injectors if that's the limitation?  I went with the meanstreet 800 since the engine was dyno'd with quick fuel 1050 @ 700 Hp.

I actually changed out the injections and put in the 80 lbs injections from the GoEFI1200 unit into my UltraRam. Tech thinks it should support 800+ hp no problem. My motor dyno'ed in at 650 with a 950 quick fuel so I should be good in that regards. I was worried and thinking the same thing. But honestly they usually under rate there stuff, I'm sure it could prob do 700HP just the way they sell it...Lol Sounds like my engine setup is close to yours just a tad lighter on the HP prob from heads. Got to love all the torque though, mine did 640 at like only 3600rpm, love it on the street!

Excellent!  Yeah, I got in a bit of an argument with a guy on the facebook fitech group.  He was saying there's no way that I could get 700 Hp with the fitech, because it's only rated at 850 cfm.  Then I did a little research and found out 850 cfm is the flow for 1200 Hp.  So I'm thinking that carbs and EFI systems are not apples and apples comparison on CFM.  Most people think that 850 CFM is not enough for 700 Hp, which would probably be true if it was a carb.  I was looking for youtube video of a fitech system naturally aspirated dyno run at over 700 Hp on high winding big block, and couldn't find one.

The new UltraRam will flow way more than 850cfm I believe because it's not all trying to go through a carb style setup. The monifold and plenum are a much larger surface area to allow more air to flow in. I think if i needed more air i could always try to get the 102 throttle body but for now I don't feel like I'm not getting enough air. I have an 09 Z06 that put down 586HP to the tires on the dyno, which is prob roughly 715HP at the motor and that all went through a stock 92mm throttle body and stock intake manifold. This UltraRam manifold will def outflow that stock manifold. And the UltraRam performs awesome over 3000rpms, Like a high rise single plane manifold. Are you running a Vic Jr or Super Vic intake now?

AFR Titan TXR

Well the meanstreet is rated at 800 Hp naturally aspirated, so I'm thinking it may be ok.  I don't know how the throttle body sizes are different between the regular fitech and the Ultra Ram, but I'm thinking they are very similar.  I don't know the opening diameter difference, but it's straight down as apposed to having to curve around 90 deg on Ultra.  We'll see what it does when I get it to the chassis dyno soon.
