Cold idle flooding
Quote from Connor.jex on November 4, 2018, 1:04 amI have a 400hp unit on a 350 chevy nothing special probably 290hp. When i start it cold (under 170) it starts fine then the afr backs down to 10.5 to 1 and it runs so rich it blows grey smoke. If you rev it the afr does not change. I back out of the driveway and start down the road it stumbles and struggles ( obviously very very rich) I'm worried it is going to die so i pull over and suddenly like a snap it trims off the fueling and settles to hi 13s at idle and runs strong and well. Keep in mind at this point coolant temp is still under 110. So i turn around and drive it home pull in my driveway and shut it down. Still under 130° i start it back up and it takes me right back down to 10.5 and grey smoke... as soon at it gets warmed up though it is snappy idles well and is very smooth i just need to solve this small issue.
