Crank and start settings help.
Quote from Judge on May 1, 2021, 5:13 pmBeen watching videos and tinkering with the defaults. Still not much better. I have a 350 sbc. New battery. New starter. New everything just about. Once she fires and catches it’s a dream. But she doesn’t like to start initially. Just about to pull it off and go back to the carb setup...help!

Need to look away from the throttle body with a fresh mind. Is it flooding, is it getting enough prime shot, is enough voltage getting to the coil and ICU while cranking, is spark strong enough during cranking etc etc.

Quote from tony-muscle on May 4, 2021, 3:06 pmYou may have to work with the Prime Mult setting. Could be lacking or getting too much fuel.
Try turning the key on so it goes through the prime shot. Wait couple seconds and then turn off and on again. Wait couple more seconds and crank. Basically, you are letting it prime twice. If this helps it means that it needs more fuel to start. I think the other test I have read somewhere is to crank it with the gas pedal partially pressed to see if it improves. I know in my case, if it is cold, I need to wait couple seconds from ignition on to cracking to allow the prime shot to come out.

Quote from springer0707 on August 2, 2021, 6:57 pmNot to highjack this thread but I'm having the same problem. Mine helps when I give a little throttle during cracking it will fire right up. So so I need to adjust prime or cranking fuel? Plus when I'm cold starting.... 1st start of the day it runs like a carb car . I have to pedal it to get it to stay running. So would that be after start fuel? Also the temp degree that are in those settings do they take effect after that temp? So if it's summer and it's 90 degrees out side but I'm starting the car for the 1st time do I adjust the 65* or the 0*?
