Crank sensor 24x 12v to 58x 5v
Quote from Paul Bell on June 12, 2020, 6:32 pmUnless you dig into the wiring harness to find a 5v source, you can't change the CKP voltage.
I would assume the 12v source is current limited to also feed the 58x sensor without damaging it. It's not shared with any other sensor.
Many users have 58x sensors without concern for the harness voltage.

-Crank Noise Fault
-Crank Miss fault
-Crank Open fault
-Cam Unsync
-Tooth in GapI would suggest you check the plug, plug pins and the wiring.

Quote from carm65c10 on March 2, 2021, 7:30 amI’m did the same thing. Went to a newer block only change is crank sensor. Funny that you wrote 24 12v 58 5v because the guys at fitech say its the other way around and they also say that it shouldn’t matter. I checked the part number 12703627 on line and it came up as a crank sensor for motors with knock sensors in the valley, just like my older motor. I’m gonna get one and try. Hope it works
