Dies after revving

Hey guys,

New to the Fitech thing. I got a T Bucket with a Blown 302. As I did not build the engine I'm not sure what is done internally for sure. The Build is a '73 302 bored 30 over, Ford factory C9TE heads, not sure on the cam but I do know it is and ISKY " Blower" came supposedly set to cam 2. Seems to be mild not lumpy. 6-71 blower with fitech dual quad setup. Mallory Unilite ignition, mechanical advance I assume. 10 degree base timing. Compared to the old carbs that were on here, drivability is great.....smooth, and is better on fuel. Also this thing rips right now. The only think I cant seem to tune out of it is idle recovery. it idles fine but if I sit and neutral lets say and rev it, the rpms come down past idle speed and dies. Sometime it may catch itself stumble and recover. Idle set to 750 with about 12 inches of vacuum I have shut off DFCO and I raised IAC stepps to around 10-12 and raised IAC loop rate. Doesn't seem to have made a difference. Could it be over fueling from the Accel pumps during the rev?

I'm not a blower guy but 750RPM seems low.  An engine has to be pretty mild to idle that low.  I have a 428CJ bored/stroked & it idles at about 980RPM.  I'd raise idle to 850 & see how it reacts.

Check the blower forums for their input.  I think this issue is more related to the blower than FITech.

Thanks, I was thinking the blower may have a part in it with all that air volume. Ill give it a try but I cant go to high because the torque converter is too tight and ill start fighting the brakes. Again not my build but working through it. Doesn't need to much converter though at only 1400 lbs....lol
