exhaust popping during idle
Ive just bout had it with this thing, I have a 1200hp kit on 540BBC somewhat wild roller cam with 3" exhaust pipe, engine is fresh, ran great with carburetor, Ive just now managed to get the IAC steps in the 3 -11 range and lower idle around 750rpm's, no codes, no air or exhaust leaks, AFR floats between 14-1 to 15-1, TPS says 0 at idle. Sense getting the IAC steps correct its popping out the exhaust crazy! No way possible to drive this car like this, Going try to richin it up to see if that takes care of it, If it dosnt? Its not been a year yet and it will be going back for refund, I have been fighting this car for almost a year now!

I had similar problem with my 454 stroker SBC popping while driving. Turned out it was way to rich and fouling plugs, which was happening because I had a leak around the O2 sensor. As soon as I welded it in, it solved it and the AFR was matching the plug color. I would definitely check your plugs to see if that's happening. I've had to replace my O2 sensor after fouling also.
I enriched it up to 13,1, seems do better cold, after bout 35 mins it goes into popping mess at idle and spitting back thru throttle body like lean accel pump. Do these things have a overheating problem?
Why, is your car getting hot? How do your plugs look? What is your ignition timing at idle?
Its not overheating, Motors just get hot, normal operating temps are hot, you cant touch anything on motor thats been running for awhile,, It dosnt matter, all ya'll have been such a great help that its going back!
Then to answer your question, no, the fitech does not have an overheating problem at normal operating temps.
