Fault code 53 solved (IAC fault)

Hi all,

thought I’d throw this out there, may save someone some time

Looking at my logs I was getting an intermittent fault code 53.

Started to take it out and the pass side screw was finger tight. Drivers side not much better. Took it out and cleaned off the carbon, re fitted with a little oil on the o ring, tightened it back up.

After running another log, no more fault code.

Did I miss something, what is it you removed and cleaned? I am receiving the same fault code 53. Any information is appreciated. Thanks,
