FINAL INSTALL

Ok Guys,

Hopefully this is the correct area to post these questions!!

Hopefully the last of my questions for the 70051 FiTech install. So my original power wire off the fuse block (firewall) that went to the original batt stud terminal on the back of the 63 amp alternator for my 74 Omega (aka Nova) will it suffice for the battery stud on the 105 amp 5.3 Alternator instead of running a separate heavy guage wire from the battery?

The 2 electric rad fan wires from the FiTech unit I ran one to one relay and one to another will this suffice or should it be ran to 3 relays? And anyone have a diagram of what I should run? I am only running one battery.

The brake switch wire what about it? Where does it go as the instructions do not say anything. I have a 2 pin brake switch. Hopefully FiTech will update there instructions and be a little more specific.

I installed the intake air temp switch in the purge valve location (truck intake) Hopefully this is good as I seem to be getting varying answers when I research it some guys say it has to be before the throttle body to read correctly???

Anything else I may be missing???????

I have already hooked up the 2 grounds to the back of the heads one per cylinder head and the fuel pump wire is ran to the pump which is nothing fancy its in a holley sniper fuel tank with a 255lph pump.

Other than that all that's left is hook up the 2 power leads to starter and one to 12v on during cranking and running, add fluids, put the headers on and get the 02's in (before start up) and shorten the drive shaft. I can start it up 🙂

I apologize for all the questions and the lame ones at that,  just trying to be as precise as possible so I have little to no issues for start up.

You guys have been very helpful and I truly appreciate all of the help.

Sorry if I messed up the message or sounds all jumbled as I am multitasking.

So again any and all tips are welcome and help is always appreciated. Thanks again in advance!!

Austin will say the same thing I am going to tell you GROUNDS are crucial as I have found out on my install they may look good and feel tight just double check those, when you get it running grab all your relay wires and check to see if they are hot or warm the amp draw is a bit higher than Fitech says myself and tech though I had bad pumps and it turned out to be just wrong amp relay I installed all 60 amp relays 2 for my pumps and 2 for my fans but I have since unhooked that and run a different setup on the fans

Engine grounds should go directly to the battery.  Throttle body units are finicky about grounds.  LS units are worse.

Well guys I did a reset on the 70051 as initially car would not start. I used the 3rd one down and when I went in to it I noticed it showed 58 not 24 like the one I picked so not sure what was up with that but the car is running now but the rad fans do not come on 😞 I am running dual fans with only 2 relays with fan 1 lead to one relay fan 2 to another tried changing temps but could not get them to work. Settings?
