Fitech 30005 idling very high

  1. I bought a 72 nova with a 355 and has the fitech 30005 on it.  I bought it idling high.  The guy I bought it from dropped the air cleaner hold down bolt into the throttle blade that was bent. He replaced the throttle blade but still the problem remains. I'll add a picture of the damage. It idles at 2000 rpms so after the throttle blade replacement is there any chance this could have been damaged causing this? I've reset tune to factory v8 and tried resetting iac steps but between 3 and 10. I am at the ends of my rope here with this thing. It started after the bolt fell in and once the blade was replaced it still idles high. The throttle blade rod doesn't appear to be bent and the throttle blade appears to be closing evenly. Handheld says -15 Hg vacuum and tps reset to zero. Tech support isn't any help they just want me to send it in to diagnose the problem.

Looks like the throttle blade is bent.   Is this picture of the replaced throttle  blade??

Just to clarify, In go-EFI initial setup/ Engine setup, what is the idle rpm warm setup set to ? Did you setup the IAC steps between 3-10 @ 170 degress? This is critical for proper idle speed and you have to equally adjust the front and back throttle blades. Most just do the front.  Also make sure to disconnect the throttle linkage when adjusting IAC. When properly adjusting IAC, you will notice the idle speed come down. What is the MAP value @ idle? You also may have a vacuum leak which would cause high idle. Check the vacuum ports; especially the port for power brakes as it is very difficult to properly attach the vacuum hose from the power Brake booster to the TBI. I could only fully insert it when the TBI was off the car.
