Fitech Fuel Pump Bosh 69100
Quote from Comemonday67 on May 19, 2018, 5:05 pmOn a recommendation I decided to try out the Bosh 69100 fuel pump to replace my noisy Aeroflow that came with the installation kit. I go to plumb it in and noticed that the fittings are not for 3/8 but rather 5/16. I am hoping someone who is currently using this pump for Fitech could chime in..
Thanks!

Say thanks for getting back to me!
What I have going is a 1971 Ford Bronco that has a 69 351W. In the next couple of months I will be having my Fitech installed (600 HP). After some research I have found that some of my Bronco brothers have opted to replace the Fitech pump with the Bosh pump (69100) as the Fitech pump is rather loud. Please note after I had sent my 5/19 email I have found that some of the Bronco guys have used the following as a solution:
One Bronco guy said: I used this and installed on the high pressure side and on the other side that draws from the tank just used hose and clamp.
I will not be doing the installation and am really a fish out of water with the whole Fitech thing. Just want to be sure I am doing what I can to help my mechanic. Your input is greatly appreciated! Rene

In your case, I am unclear if a 5/16 line will work. If your motor is anything but stock, I would recommend going with 3/8. I believe, in your case, it is the pump with the small fittings. This can and will cause a restriction.
The easiest way to know if you have a fuel supply problem is to monitor your fuel pressure. If your pressure drops at full throttle and/or high rpm, you have a fuel problem.

Say thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking that I will do the initial set up with the Fitech pump provide and workout all the gremlins and then have the Bosh pump installed down the road. Per your many recommendations, I did purchase the Fitech fuel pressure gauge. I will update you on my progress regarding my success with Bosh pump. Talk to you later, Rene
