FiTech ProCal software not loading a Calibration file
Hello,
I'm new to this forum but not to using FiTech. I own a business called TTA Performance and I deal specifically with the Pontiac 4.9 (301) turbocharged engine produced in 1980-81.
This is the 2nd FiTech I have sold. I am using the 30004 Power Adder 600HP system and have downloaded the ProCal software and drivers. The 1st time I installed a FiTech on the Turbo 301, I had no issue loading or reading the calibration on my laptop. I was able to make changes and upload.
This 2nd system now is being sold "pre-tuned" to my customer in California. I am having trouble loading any calibration or even reading the ECU of the FiTech. I can see the dashboard is live with the ECU and the sensor readings move when I open the throttle etc. But if I try to read the ECU to make changes to the calibration, the data comes up blank.
I should be able to load the calibration from the first FiTech I installed and read the values, but that comes up blank too.
Any idea what might be happening. I have uninstalled and re-installed the ProCal software on my laptop with no luck. It looks to be an issue on the ProCal/laptop side. Not the TBI ECU.
Not sure the issue with Pro Cal, but have you tried copy and pasting the cal file to the handheld memory? Then load calibration using handheld.
Make sure we are on the same page. Handheld only holds cal memory, the unit holds the cal being used. The unit must be powered up to accept a cal.

This is the running FiTech on a rebuilt 301T.
It will get a chassis tune once installed in the car.
I should be able to open the calibration file in Pro Cal without a hand held. It won't be connected, but I should be able to view the parameters of the cal and make changes and save them.
In this video, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gc_b-5nQ0Y8&t=124s) you can see he was able to open a cal file and change values. When I open a cal file, all my parameter are blank. It doesn't even show what the parameter is or a value.
