Fuel pressure high on new unit.
Quote from vettetek on December 31, 2022, 8:26 pmHey guys,
New to FiTech and to the forum. I have a new build going together, and I decided to leak check the fuel system by manually powering up the fuel pump. Good news is no leaks. However, I noticed the gauge maxing out at 100psi after the system "filled".
I tried it a couple more times (3 second hits), and same result. I thought maybe its a return line problem, but I cracked the return line at the throttle body, and there was no fuel and the pressure was still about 60.
From what I read, the pressure should be right around 60 with the key on - engine off.
Should I replace the regulator or is there something else up with my unit?
I have both fuel lines on the passenger side, inlet and gauge in front return in rear (as stamped on unit).
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
