fuel return line size
Quote from aliensinla on July 6, 2020, 1:51 amI have a 30002 (600HP) system and just purchased the 50001 fuel delivery system. I have a 5/16 sender line which I would like to use as my return. The instructions (Figure 3 welded pipe version) shows a 5/16 pipe connected to AN6 hoses which I thought were 3/8".
My question is 5/16 return line sufficient for a 30002 system running a little over 300HP (360 Mopar) and a 13 foot run(5/16") hose. Thanks, Dan

Quote from 69_R-Code on July 7, 2020, 5:33 pmReally depends on your fuel pump. If you have a super large GPH inline pump then the lines would be too small. If the pump is "right sized" for your HP then I think you'll be OK.

Quote from aliensinla on July 8, 2020, 10:53 amI called FiTech support and there requirement is 3/8 return line, I also told them their instructions (figure 3) shows a 5/16 return pipe as an option, they told me that is incorrect. I hope they update the figure because I bought 5/16 line and hardware and spent an afternoon running it based on this option.
They show 5/16 pipe connected to -6AN hose you cannot connect -6AN (3/8) hose to 5/16 pipe. I wish they would proof read their instructions.
