Gets the best of us
Quote from Deleted user on June 8, 2019, 1:34 pmWell I am a victim of my own preaching. My 600 PA would not shut off with the key. White wire was staying energized with key off. Only way to kill engine was to pull the 2 fuses for the Fitech power. I had extended my harness to hide and have better placement of fuses. I knew, without a doubt, it was wired correctly. It had ran correctly, now this. I was convinced it was something in the ECU. Clipped the white wire near ecu, still hot. Pulled the loom and found my heat shrink where I had extended was slightly melted together. Pulled apart and found a very small hole in the heat shrink where it could feed power from red wire to white. 1 in a million chances....
This is why I tell other users not to be so quick to judge the Fitech. Most times it is user error.

Quote from Deleted user on June 9, 2019, 1:56 pmLooking at the positives. Since I had to pull my wiring, I am going to make some changes along with the repair. Wasn't 100 percent happy before but didn't want to tear it apart. I'm adding a fuse and relay box under the hood. It will clean things up nicely. Also will make all circuits connected with weatherpack, so any more work won't require me cutting wires.
