Handheld fuse
Quote from Chopper on December 22, 2021, 11:44 amI am in the process of installing an ultimate LS system. It appears the 20 amp handheld fuse is hot at all times. It shares a buss bar in the fuse box with ECM power fuse and the fuel pump fuse. Does the handheld time out automatically after the vehicle is shut off? I am considering wiring it to a switched ignition circuit to avoid a parasitic battery drain. Any held greatly appreciated.

I would not recommend removing power from the handheld at the same time you shut the engine down. If it's connected while running, it may be tied in to the ECM's ability to remember the last operating parameters. You can fully power down the system (such as with a full vehicle battery kill) but only after a minute or so after engine shut down so it can save the parameters.
