Handheld issues
Quote from Houseman on October 11, 2021, 7:23 amI've had FiTech for 6 or so years. The handheld started going to a grey screen when the truck got hot.
I checked for 12v at the end of the cable where it plugged in the old handheld and it had power. From that i figured the handheld was dead from getting wet and being banged around. I ordered a new style handheld with cable.
It would not turn on either. I figured it that without the handheld plugged in there's 12v when you plug it in and load the power supply, it drops to 3.5v

I used an external 12v source, basically powering the handheld directly from the battery, and it functions and reads engine data.
What are the chances this is the beginning of the end, and will fail and leave me stranded?
