Hunting idle after fixing charging issue

PreviousPage 2 of 2

So, I finally got my shielding in the other day and pulled out the blue wire to shield it. Soldered a ground wire to one end and grounded the shielding. Started the car back up and am still seeing the same issue. Been doing some thinking and went back reading older posts and I have 2 thoughts....1) I completely forgot to separate the blue wire and run it away from all other wires. 2) Since this started right after I got my alternator charging issue figured out, could it be seeing the interference from the power that the alternator is feeding back to the starter terminal? 3) I'm really considering just switching to timing control from the Fitech.

I don't know why I never did it in the first place to be honest. Maybe I just didn't trust it? Had I been on here when I purchased it, I think I definitely would have done it in the first place.

Outside of the wire work, locking the advance, and switching it on the handheld, will there be any tuning or learning that will need to take place?

The labor is the hardest part.  Tuning is straight forward.  Only learning the system may do is if your timing curve is a little different than the mechanical curve.
