Ignition control questions

I was curious about ignition control. Currently it’s on an old school HEI distributor. It’s fine but I’d like to modernize it some more. I can source LS coils pretty easily and cheap enough, and I’ve seen that MSD sells a cam/crank position sensor that goes into the distributor slot.
I could also get one of the distributors that came with the TBI setups.
this isn’t a high performance race car, it’s a lifted truck that gets occasional use. Would either of these setups work with the fitech ignition controller?
