Injection unit not functioning.

I have a FiTech on my V8 MGB which failed today. Has worked well for the period it has been installed, for about 4000 miles.

Left stranded today. HP fuel pump is running, got a great spark, but fuel is not being injected, when viewing with the air filter removed.

Suspect that the ECU has got too hot and failed.

Can the ECU be replaced, or does it have to be the whole Injection unit?  Should there be a thermal insulator between the intake and the injection unit to reduce the heat transfer?

Insulator not necessary.  Do you show data on handheld dashboard with key on?  When did you buy this unit?

Yes the ECU can be replaced. Fitech has redesigned the ECU with a external fuse and relay Box ( should have done that in the first place), but you also need the matching wire harness for the new design ECU. I personally highly recommend a thermal spacer between the  Fitech TBU and the intake. It makes a noticeable difference in temperature of the ECU. I have the same model as your Fitech and it has been good for me since 2017.
