Injector

Hi guys new to the forum and ultimate ls. I'm trying to start my engine now.  It's a 5.3 with single turbo. I keep getting rpm noise and Injector 2 codes. Wouldn't injector 2 be the # 2 cylinder? I cannot get this to start, and most of the I injector s do not match the corresponding cylinder. When I pull all 4 from the drivers side and leave passenger plug in it gives me codes for 2,4,5,7?

Hey Alank, welcome!

As I recall, each harness injector plug should have five wires terminated, one that is power that's spliced to all four injectors then an individual wire to each injector. I don't recall what the power color is and the pin list doesn't show it but the injector wires should be as follows:

1: Black, 3: Tan, 5: White, 7: Red

2: Green, 4: Orange, 6: Yellow, 8: Blue

Note that these colors are in the harness plugs (14 & 15 shown in the installation guide) back to the ECM, not the harnesses to the injectors themselves.

If the wires are correct, you would have to call Fitech.

Not sure about the injector issue.  Hopefully someone will chime in.

RPM noise, what does your RPM read on the handheld when cranking?  Many guys have tried using old crank and cam sensors.  This can be an issue.  Definately replace with Delco if you haven't already.

Check your plugs and pins very carefully.  Both on the ECU end and pigtails.  Look for bent or pushed back pins.  Common issue.

Thanks for the quick replies, rpm on handheld appears to be correct.  I have installed a new crank sensor, cam sensor, iac, and tps sensor hoping I wouldn't have this issues. I'm on day 3 trying to get this to start. It will spit and sputter that's it. For some odd reason there is also alot of gas on the plugs, but I did verify I have spark. I'm at my wits end with this thing.

Be patient.  It took GM engineers years and millions of dollars to get one running.   We will figure it out.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on an Ultimate LS yet.  Should very soon.

I have seen guy's get the coil harness backwards....

I thought that also, but I verified they are all correct, I even swapped them around just in case, no difference.  The faults that come up on the hand held fo injectors do not match the cylinders for some reason.  I have read that there was a software update, can not find it online anywhere. Hopefully fitech will be open tomorrow.

Fitech has not sent me any LS updates unfortunately.

I belong to a Facebook fitech boosted page and those guys keep talking about an about. One of them was sending it to people, I asked but haven't heard anything back yet. I was just messing with it again, I only have 8 volts at the injector wire also, so now a whole nother issue.
