Is fitechefi intake leaks

Start off with 5.3 .030 cast block , flat top prisons, AS A CAM 226/236. .525/525 110+4.  862 worked heads . Howard springs, pushrods. New plugs, 10.5 spark wire, coils, reworked rocker arms, ls7 lifters. Full exhaust

Started out p0355 code changed CRANK position sensor . Got it ideling basically.  At 170 vacuum 12 to 15. Really bad idle surging no rev cuts out.  Smells really rich , gassy raw fuel. Have the o2 set to 16.

Checked plugs this morning after blasting clean re-ran engine seemed better pulled plugs #3,5, 4and6 black #1,7,2 and 8 white. That's why it's running like sh-t. Pulled intake looks like seals n place but seems to have been leaking what the problem ?????

Sorry this is the fitechefi 70002 with trans controller 500hp unit. No trans hooked up at this time fuel psi 58lbs.

Do you think it is a manifold issue or it may not have seated correctly during install?

Not sure yet! Going to straight edge the manifold flanges . I did notice the seals where set. Do u think that would explains the discoloration on the plugs ?

Yep, getting air where it's not supposed to come from.  Would lean out that side.

Plugs 2 and 8 where white. 4and 6 where black.  1 and 7 white 3 and 6 black. Odd patterns.

Update ! Found damage on underside of intake on the flanges . Made by the 3 inboard head bolts from both heads. That made it imposible for the intake to make as seal. Recessed contact points on intake and ground down head shoulder on bolts. Note: while installing intake hade to remove IAC sensor and noticed the sensor tip was melted from the engine backfire. Coursing the engine to run rich. Part of the initial complant.

I have the part number a link for the IAC.  The LS is the same as the throttle body units.  Check the Parts and Accessories topic.

What am I missing done everything by the book and still can't get this engine to run ! Now when I power up the system no fuel pump prime . By past wiring to pump got 58p psi at gauge. Engine trying to run . I'll move the throttle by hand and it will sputter for a few min 2 . Checked plugs at least four was wet. Full power to coils key on and cranking seems like no matter just won't run. Even done a compression test looking at 110 / 120 all cylinders .

 

Possible issue.  The factory coil harnesses have some design flaws.  You may not be firing all your coils or may be intermittent.  I beleive there is a MSD harness available to fix.  Just a thought, may not be the issue.
