Issues with Fitech Ultimate LS3, kit# 70013
Quote from 4wdautoparts on July 20, 2020, 4:48 pmHello,
We have a customer’s 1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ with a GM LS3 running a Fitech 70013(Ultimate Ls Kit For Ls3/L92 - 750 Hp W/O Trans Control) feeded by a Fitech Force Fuel system, part# 50004
This thing has been only problems since we installed it…
List of problems:
- When trying to change initial settings on the handheld controller, can’t save anything to the ECU…there’s always a communication error or a “can´t find group” error (Check TF card)
- After driving a few seconds the Fuel pressure drops to 0, engine dies.(can’t do the initial setup process I guess a setup issue)
- Passenger side bank stops working (don’t know if this an O2 sensor issue, or setup related issue)
- when trying to Read from ECU, we get “ECU no response” message.
Questionnaire from Fitech Tech support:
- Check fuel pressure on the 50004.
60PSI ,It suddenly drops to 0 after driving for a few seconds.
- What are you using to feed the force fuel?
Carter P4600HP In-Line Electric Fuel Pump (6-8PSI) …running fine, fuel tank is full.
- When you turn the key on does the fuel pump prime up?
Yes ..it primes… maintains a pressure of 60 PSI at idle on the 50004 gauge….but when going for a test drive pressure drops to 0 and dies.
- Also have you checked the handhelds main menu for Fault Code?
Only DTC is P0505, IAC related, cleared
- make sure that when you are trying to connect to ecu ,you have the key on.
Ehmmm…Ok?
- check to see if there is at least 10 volts to the key on ignition while cranking.
11.5v while cranking on red ignition wire
- Unscrew the lid on the 50004 maybe the pump is broken inside.
it’s not broken
- It’s possible just a bad SD Card. You can replace the SD card with a different brand.
Installed new card. Now we don’t have any files.
Hope someone can help us get this thing running.
