its alive but have issues

its a 545 stroker with a 871 blower everything is new im running the fitech dual power adder  1200hp and the g-surge I have a hard start issue but once its running it starts fine I need to I believe increase the amount of fuel on the key on prime what setting is the and how do I adjust it, the AFR is 13:7:1 shouldn't that be lower to richen up the mixture it does run hot I shut it off at 230 on a Equus gauge the fitech is 10 degrees cooler and the fitech isn't turning the fans on with fan 1 it has a 180 thermostat and I have it set to come on at 190 and off at 177 but I had to install a adjustable temp control to turn on the fans so I am using that right now

AFR will be fine for now.  Don't worry about start right now.  How were your IAC steps at temperature and did you get it to stay cool with the fan on?

I will half to run it again to get the IAC steps, no I didn't get it to stay cool it want to keep climbing it gets to 230 before I shut it off, you can see a video at you tube search for custom 500 alive but the video is after its warm you don't see the hard start,,, it cranks and cranks and cranks and the m bang fires up , then start fine after that

I would focus on the overheating part first.  Not Fitech related.  Make sure your thermostat is opening, etc...

no its blower related.. lol but the fitech isn't turning the fan on either on fan 1 my current stat is the IAC is at 8 idle at 950 @195 Degrees (fitech gauge) I did change the AFR to 12:5:1 from what I read on fitech website and I changed the initial pump shot when key is on from 259 to 159 now it starts like a brand new car idles between 900 and 1000 IAC between 4 and 10 it does run a little rich but a blower car need the rich side due to the amount of air that is compressed into the motor now with both fans running 1200 cfm each temp increases 1 degree per minute and a half there is 3.5 gallons of coolant in the system with a quart of "be cool" 4 core radiator  the core is 27x18

I suppose I could try to use fan 2 and see if there is a problem with the fan 1 ground now before I do that what is the correct way to wire the relay just so I am clear pin 30,87,85,86 and what function the support I will go get a new 40 amp relay and I will talk to summit of the cooling issue

okay once upon a time ,,,, I had a overheating issue I just installed a blue water restrictor from moroso and removed the thermostat all together and I installed a single 18 inch fan and shroud from a for fusion (moves a ton of air) ran the electric water pump for 5 min to remove any air in the system verified all my setting in the controller I do not have fitech running the fans they are on a rheostat that's adjustable the fan cycles on at 153 degrees I let the car run at idle for 45 min it finally reached 210 and seem to leveled off the timing is set at 18 degrees and the distributor has a built in 21 deg of advance everything seems to be working I would really like to see temps below or at 200

one other thing is there any way to adjust the throttle tension I am using the dual power adder on a blower with the correct blower throttle linkage and a new lokar throttle cable assy and lokar kick down cable and the pedal is really stiff I unhooked everything and left the two throttle bodys connected and all of the tension is right there the rest of the linkage and pedal is 0 resistance

Throttle tension is a common complaint.  In my installs, my throttle linkage is connectecto the big hole with a bushing insert.  I also run a very light return spring.

I have heard of guys loosening the linkage springs 1 rotation and like the tension then.  I have not tried.

how do you go about loosening the tension springs
