Been talking on facebook, I hope you can help with my FiTech. I am new to tuning, lol. I hope I get what you need to see. I took the car around for a quick hit. I have a nicely built 340, with a peppy roller cam. I am using FiTech to control timing, because I kept getting EMI or noise on the tach wire which in turn was showing crazy numbers while idling (700 - 2500). I think I got the timing set now, and I have been messing with the crank fuel to get it to finally start consistently with out opening the throttle (to add more air). I have it set at 75 for initial shot and take out some in warmer temps (-25 @ 60F & -50 @170F).
Any way I keep getting some issue running WOT, not sure about the AFR and if I have enough in the timing set-up. Also, I can get the IAC steps to get down to <15, but it changes my WOT to about 96. I never get 100 or 99.5. I used to only get 78% so I put a new throttle cable on and adjusted, and now I get 96%?
Thanks for looking. Below is the dropbox file to my a log file. I can do more just tell me what you want (cold start, idle, cruise).

The provided sensor is known for having issues. Fitech has offered a calibration option, but most of use use a Delco sensor. I have the part number listed and a link in the Parts and Accessories topic.

Please find attached a data log file from a recent drive. I changed out the temp sensor, the sensor is 35 degrees different at operating temperature.
It feels like the car runs out of timing or something in a hard accelerate condition, falls on its face??
Hope you can give me direction, still not convinced I have the timing set right. Maybe I'm running out of timing on big end?

Quote from jnichols7088 on June 19, 2019, 12:58 pmOne more thing, it may not be related, but when i was adjusting my timing and had it revved to 4,000 rpm the headers started to turn cherry red hot. I always thought that was timing, or fuel not burned during power stroke and his being burned in exhaust??
Thanks again.
