loss of RPM signal

hey guys new to the Fitec unit. long story took the car in trade. has the 600hp setup on it. alum head 383 stroker, 68 camaro.  when i went to the guys house to check it out, ran mint. after we did a deal, he delivered it to my shop( drove it here)  he said the battery was dead and had to jump it, no biggie.  took it out for a blast, was fine. next day i came to the shop, took it out for a beat run, after charging the battery, no issues. next day car will not start, and p0335. i have normal tach operation, just not to fitech unit. i have a brand new battery, 12+ cranking at white, i insulated the blue wire best i could. it will do the inital fire, and thats it. its msd dist and coil in the car, no msd box. am i overlooking something?  first time ive delt with one of these, and they say they are fairly uncomplicated.  any help would be appreciated. thanks!  i just want to get it running, so i can sell it, that was the whole purpose of me trading him( i made out fairly well)

What you are experiencing is a short fire from the prime shot of fuel squirted when key is switched on.  Without tach signal, the unit will not fire injectors during crank.  Remove blue wire, with key on, tap end of blue wire on positive battery post.  You should get an RPM signal.

If not, then inspect your blue wire carefully.  If you do, it has something to do with the connection to the distributor.
