New Guy with Problem

Hi Guys.  Been poking around here for a while before I decided to pull the trigger on my Fitech system.  I purchased the Go Street 400 system thru a local shop which also did the install and set up.  This was completed over last fall and I got the car back this past December.  Ran it a few times (2) and started having a problem where the car would suddenly die.  Thinking it was battery/altenator related I stuck the car on the lift for the winter and forgot about it.  For the past couple of weeks I have been staring the car and letting it run inside.  Starts good, runs fine, no temp issues, all is good.  Decided to run it today outside and got maybe 2 miles and then the car just dies while doing around 35mph.  Starts right back up, drives maybe a 1/4 mile then dies again.  Starts right back up and goes another 1/4 mile then dies.  It died enough times I finally killed my battery and walked home to get the Gator and towed the car back home.  It’s a 71 vette with a 350 small block.  My guess is maybe fuel delivery pressure is off?  I really don’t know.  I load tested the battery and it was good.  Altenator is putting out over 14v so that is good too.  I wrote everything up and sent it to the shop that did the install. My goal is for him to read all the issues and then we can have a discussion.  I am not very well versed with these things so I wanted some input from the experts.  Any idea what can be causing my issue?

It sure sounds like lacking fuel. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge that you can read while the car is driving? Try saving a log when the issue is happening to see if there is a measurable change in AFR or fuel flow.

Since you paid for a turn-key install, in December, I think you should approach your shop to see if they will warranty the install.  A agree with the other poster - sure seems to be a fuel delivery issue.

Thanks guys.  Yes the shop will take care of the problem.  I spoke with the shop today real quick. He thinks fuel pump and wants it next week.
