My coil went bad. I think it was going bad over a month time frame. I was getting ready for a long trip and disconnected my battery and reconnected it. When I started up the 302 with the FiTech 600 with MSD 6L it ran very very rough. I turned it off and next time a started it it was normal. A month later the truck misfired BANG BANG several times and loss power and stalled. I tested everything and replaced the coil and it started right up. It then started misfiring out the exhaust when I let off the gas pedal a lot. It also is running about 10-15 degrees warmer with this new coil. SO I switched out the coil and the misfire is 90% gone, but the engine still runs warmer. Any ideas? I have not made any changes to the setting on fi-tech. I was hoping it didn't learn some bad stuff from the bad coil, but not sure. I sent my dash board data log to fitech they say it looks pretty good, I think they mentioned the MAP was high.
