New ECU Go Street EFI 400HP 30003

Last week I had emailed Fitech if there was updated software for my 30003 TBI unit. They did say I was on the most current, but he did mention different software for a redesigned ECU. So I inquired  about the new ECU and the following are changes they did, which are well needed.

1.  A new external fusebox with fuses and the Main and Fuel Pump Relays. This is a VAST improvement as the the older ECU had Relays soldered to the logic board and at least one non replaceable fuse soldered on the logic board.

2. They removed the PWM features, such as for the fuel pump which in most part created problems with users not having PWM fuel pumps.

3. The ECU housing is  redesigned to make it easier installing  it, due to the wire harness. It is also thicker which allows the ECU to run cooler, which I and others believe heat, is the cause of ECU's failing.

According to Fitech, they have been shipping the new ECU since Feb of last year. This new design may also have been done to other model TBI units.
