new member-new fitech user-updated software-looking for feedback

hello everyone,

i am a new member and im looking for some advice. i ran my car with fitech for about 500 km with some improvements, now that i have read many threads i have updated my software and i have uploaded my idle control for some feedback.

some basic info on the build-  66 chevelle ss, ZZ 454/440 crate, delco original equip distributor with MSD 6AL, 5 speed tremec TKO 600.

i will post a prober build on the build thread, just getting the hang of this forum

Yeah, not too bad.  I would recommend taking your IAC steps down a tad, depending on your cam profile, radical 20, mild 10.  Do this by turning in the idle screw on your primaries maybe just a quarter turn when warmed up over 170 deg, shutting off the car and waiting a minute, starting the car back up and look at your IAC steps.  If not down enough, repeat process.

what should my target be with a 5 speed. the recommended 3-10  or higher like 14-20.

as far as the cam, im a rookie. its the stock cam from the crate engine. LIFT 510-intake 540 exhaust//DURATION 211 intake 230 exhaust, does this help.  as of now i have the cam setting at 2.

 

 

Probably 15 or so would be good IMO, but certainly not 35.
